*Your Name?
Sarah Lukemire

*Where are you from?
I’m from Colorado (Greeley/Ft.Collins area) but live in Burnsville, Minnesota now!

*Animals(s) (Age, Breed & Name)?
Lola – 2 – pit bull mix
Rio – 11 months – Staffordshire mix2014-05-31 11.56.18

*Interesting Facts About Your Animal(s)?
Besides being an awesome breed ambassador, Lola runs on a flyball team and is a petite pit bull mix at only 36 lbs!

Rio had to have surgery on his leg at 3 months old from a bad fall – but you’d never know it now, he keeps up with the best of ‘em!

*Animal(s) Favorite Treat?
pretty much anything – but they love pork liver treats & peanut butter Kongs!

*Animal(s) Favorite Trick?
Rio loves to ‘bow’ and rollover. Lola isn’t as much of a trick dog, but knows all the basics and is CGC certified.

*Where is your pet(s) favorite place to go?
The park and down to the river – they love being able to play chase and wade in the water! Besides that, Lola absolutely goes crazy when we pull up to flyball practice.

*Perspective on Adopting a Rescue?
Adopt don’t shop!

*What’s your favorite thing to do with your animal (walks, going to a park, playing games etc.)?
Walks, taking them to the park, going hiking, playing disc, and cuddling!

*Favorite Quote?
“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” – Dr. Seuss

*Favorite website to get pet information?
Besides my blog (www.lolathepitty.com), I’m in love with YourPitBullandYou.com

*Do your animal(s) love to go for car rides?
Oh yes!

*What’s your favorite animal product?
Their Kongs, by far.me-lola-profile 009

*Why do you think volunteering at an animal rescue/shelter is important?
This is an awesome opportunity to give back, while doing something great for the animals – saving their lives in fact. The more volunteers that foster and help with the animals in some way, the more animals that will find loving homes.
