thursdayYou all remember Kerri don’t you! We did two interviews with her a few weeks ago about her company KeriCure! If you didn’t read our previous posts well here they are for your enjoyment:

*Interesting Facts About Your Animal(s)?
Leela loved to sneak sips of my wine when I wasn’t looking. She was a “drive by licker”. She loved when you squeezed her ears and making us smile. She was extremely protective and would guard our 20 month old son from the other dogs when they started to play too rough with each other. She was the only one I could take on walks or out with me without needing a leash – she was always aware of what I was doing and any commands I was giving her. She had a huge barrel chest to hold her huge heart.

*Animal(s) Favorite Treat?
She liked anything and everything – we called her the vacuum!

*Animal(s) Favorite Trick?
She loved to give paw and then lick your hand once she suckered you in

*Where is your pet(s) favorite place to go?
Leela loved the beach and chasing birds there. She was a good swimmer and liked to splash in the waves.

*Perspective on Adopting a Rescue?
Could not image doing anything else. The dogs and cats at these shelters, even the good ones, need our help, and I love being able to provide a stable, loving home for them.

*What’s your favorite thing to do with your animal (walks, going to a park, playing games etc.)?
We have a rope toy that we swing over our heads and all 4 dogs try to jump up and catch it. Stewie, our pitbull, has actually done crazy back flips trying to get it. They all love the laser pointer out in the yard at night, and we go for a 2 mile walk when it is not Florida summer heat out.

*Do your animal(s) love to go for car rides?
YES! You cannot say the word “car ride” in our house without starting a riot of excitement. Or the word “walk”, “bird”, “squirrel”, or “outside”.

*What’s your favorite animal product?
The Gentle Leader is the best leash we have found for our big dogs, and is safe and gentle but still helps prevent pulling. And of course KeriCure’s Tough Seal for all those crazy skin issues we get, like the dermatitis in the summer for the pitbulls, smalls cuts and scratches from playing rough outside, and your every day irritations and issues that need protection from dirt and germs.

*Why do you think volunteering at an animal rescue/shelter is important?
I would LOVE to be able to do this. It is absolutely one of the most important roles you can play in helping these animals. Unfortunately, I am HIGHLY allergic to all animals, and I take allergy meds every day just to survive living with 4 rescue dogs and 2 rescue cats. :D
