Waggin Wednesday – The Writer’s Process Blog Tour

wednesdayThis Wagging Wednesday is something special. I got nominated by Amanda from Dog Mom Days to take part in the Writer’s Process Blog Tour. Thank you Amanda for the nomination! You can check out her page here at: http://www.dogmomdays.com/

1) What are you working on?
Currently I am working on a custom online christmas flip book. It will feature a bunch of professional animal bloggers and their must have pet items. I am also slowly working on changing up the color/theme of my blog/facebook/twitter. I did just create a new logo but am still playing with the wording/font on it to get it up to my standards. I am also hoping to increase the amount of pet product reviews I do as well.

2) Why do you write what you do?
The answer is easy, I love what I do. I work fulltime and my blog at the moment is a hobby of mine. Having a blog isn’t a walk in the park but it is worth every minute of it, I would say I put in at least 45mins-1hr of writing each week day as well as numerous tweeting, reposting, retweeting, email responses, commenting and messages.

Like I said it is worth every minute of it and I feel that when I help others it really does give back and also increases your good karma (one can never have enough karma!).  I also do love sharing personal stories about my former rescue dog Rolo (hence the name Confessions of a Rescue Mom). I feel like he has such an interesting life and I love sharing the story of how he became mine and all the trials and tribulations we went through to get him to where he is today.

3) How does your writing process work?
I have a little planner I made up that states the dates, what I’m posting on that date etc. I normally plan my blog 2 weeks in advance, sometimes I get so many interviews for Tuesday & Thursday spotlights that I plan more than a month ahead, all depends on how many are waiting to be featured. I post every weekday with each week day having their own feature:

Adopt Me Monday
Tuesday Spotlight
Wagging Wednesday
Thursday Spotlight
Fundraise Friday

I think this makes it the easiest for me as I know what each week will be about or what type of content I am needing to get to finish up my blog that week. Wednesdays & Fridays seem to be the hardest days to write about. Wednesdays  are my free day to write about whatever I want to write about; could be about adoption, a past event I went to, ideas on treat recipes, trick tips or even a product review.

I know you are supposed to nominate someone after I post this, well its been hard trying to find someone who hasn’t done this yet SO, if you are reading this and havent not taken part in this yet I am nominating YOU!
All you have to do is answer these 3 questions:
1) What are you working on?
2) Why do you write what you do?
3) How does your writing process work?
