*What’s Your Name?
Carrie Robertson

*Where are you from?
Benton, KY

*Animals(s) (Age, Breed & Name)?
When we rescued Huey they guessed his age to be 7 that was 2 years ago. So we are guessing around 9 years old. He is a German Shepard Mix, name is Houdini because of his escaping ticks but we call him Huey among other nicknames

*Interesting Facts About Your Animal(s)?
Lets see he’s a worry wort, terrified of men. Tip toes through the house when everyone is sleeping and i am serious about tip-toeing. We call him the drive by licker he will run past you and give you a kiss and keep on running. Loves cats and other animals doesn’t get worked up around them. He doesn’t play unless he is in a room by himself then he has his way with one of the stuffies. He is just now learning he can play around us. Since he is a rescue he has some trust issues we have been working on he has come so very far but we still have a tremendous amount of things to get over and touch base on. We have never heard huey bark we have heard him whine but he hasn’t vocalized using his bark… we are waiting patiently for it :)

*Animal(s) Favorite Treat?
Duck treats from Hills Diet. One of Kenya’s followers sent her a bag and he got the entire bag from the top of their treat shelf and ate an entire bag of duck treats while i was at work

*Animal(s) Favorite Trick?
Huey doesn’t do many tricks we aren’t sure what the past owners have taught him it doesn’t seem like much but since being with us he has learned sit and stay.

*Where is your pet(s) favorite place to go?
To the park! There is a pond there and after one round of walking in the heat he is ready to hit the pond for a little swim and cool off. This is something new he has learned over the last summer. It was the best thing of my summer I even have a video of him walking out and rolling in the grass

*Perspective on Adopting a Rescue?
Huey is a rescue when my husband saw the animal shelter post him he had no doubts that Huey would be apart of our pack we already had 3. When we got Huey he was under weight and his spirit was just crushed. We were worried how he would do with our already huge pack he came home we all instantly fell in love with him and he adjusted and fit in well with our family it was like we never missed a beat and he was right where he belonged. We are sure the previous owners didn’t care much for him or his epilepsy or he would be cared for more.

*What’s your favorite thing to do with your animal (walks, going to a park, playing games etc.)?
Swimming, playing and chasing Kenya he loves his sissy any where she is he is at ease.10470180_1476714425899780_5128356200712985855_o

*Favorite Quote?
Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent – Milan Kundrea

*Favorite website to get pet information?
We don’t have one particular favorite site we read a lot of blogs.

*Do your animal(s) love to go for car rides?
Yes, he loves them but he gets EXTREMELY nervous during them loves getting to where we are supposed to be :)

*What’s your favorite animal product?
besides Kenya’s dog nail polish we love the doggie wipes with Kenya being white it saves her from a bath every day and they help when Huey has a seizure to clean up the drool.

*Why do you think volunteering at an animal rescue/shelter is important?
Animals come in so down and broken they don’t know where they are or who these strange people are. It’s important to volunteer your time to show them love and to walk them. Even if it is for 10 minutes it 10 minutes they got out was able to walk and be loved.
