*Where are you from?
*What is your pet(s) (Age, Breed & Name)?
Bo 6 year old Mini Aussie
*What are some interesting facts about your pet(s)?
Bo is extremely smart – too smart for his own good. He loves to swim and retrieve, doesn’t really have the herding instinct like some expect. He is extremely shy and doesn’t really like meeting new people. However he is always ready for a new dog friend.
*What is your pet (s) favorite treat?
Bo really likes chewies, like bully sticks and whimzees
*What is your pet(s) favorite trick?
It isn’t really appropriate for most, but instead of roll over- we taught him to “show me your weiner” Otherwise, he loves to shake your hands with both hands
*Where is your pet(s) favorite place to go?
Bo LOVES to swim –more than any dog I know. So as it’s winter in Colorado and I’m a bit of an over protective mom – I take him to a facility that allows him to swim indoors!
He loves to run errands with me every Sunday. He wakes up early and waits for me to make coffee, then pops outside and waits by the car to get our “haul”
*Perspective on Adopting a Rescue?
Bo is a rescue – it’s the best thing I have ever done. When I look at him, and all the joy that he brings to my life, the thought of him not being wanted is too much for me to bare. He is the best dog I have ever owned, and truly my best friend.
*What’s your favorite thing to do with your pet(s)?
Bo loves to go for walks, as do I – it helps us both relax and get outdoors together. I also really seriously enjoy taking him swimming—mostly because I know how much he loves to go and how happy he really is.
*What is your favorite quote?
Whoever said diamonds are a girls best friend, never owned a dog.
*Favorite website to get pet information from?
I am really having a hard time thinking of what I use. I am signed up for quite a few newsletters and I read all of them to get the most information
*Do your pets (s) love to go for car rides?
*What’s your favorite animal product?
I have a foot plunger that, because of his hairy tootsies, we use ANY time his feet hit the ground. Especially in Colorado with all the dangerous ice melt
Also – a cooling mat. The cooling mats, although not long in life, have really helped us out.
*Why do you think volunteering at an animal rescue/shelter is important?
It’s so important because without volunteers and fosters, there is no way to continue to save dogs, just like Bo
