*How long has your business been around for?
I started the business in June of 2014

10443417_380318448801826_5541113297522922457_n*Why was it started?
I chose to start making collars because I liked Raisin and Mags to have different ones all the time, I mean I don’t like to have to wear the same shoes all the time, so why should they have to wear the same collar all the time. I was spending so much money on new collars and there were so many more patterns that I wanted, I figured I may as well try making some myself. I asked for a sewing machine for Christmas, then I researched where to buy the webbing, buckles and ribbon. Then came the task of teaching myself how to sew, first of all, and then how to make a collar. The first few took quite a long time to master, but once I figured them out I was good to go.

*Do you have any animals? If so, name, breed and something interesting about them?

We do have animals, lots. The business was started because of Raisin and Mags. Raisin was a rescue from the FMSPCA and she was about 10 when we got her. Raisin was a husky/shepherd cross.

Mags is also a rescue from the FMSPCA, she was between 5-8 when we got her, so we guess that she is 11-12 now. Mags is a black lab cross. In September we lost Raisin to old age and cancer, we figure she was about 15 at the time we lost her.

Mags was lonely and a little depressed, so in December we fostered a puppy for another local rescue called Pawsitive Changes Animal Rescue Society. Well, he fit right in so we adopted him. So now Mags is the proud big sister to Hemi, a 6 month old black lab cross.

We also have 4 cats. Noah is a 15 year old tabby and is also a therapy cat, he works with me in the PAWS program here in Fort McMurray, and he is still the only cat in the program. Then there is Jake, he is also a rescue and is about 15. We have a very old fellow, his name is Zango also a tabby, we fostered him for 2 ½ years and nobody was interested in him, but we love him so he now has his forever home with us. And then Junior came to join us in November. Junior is a 10 year old long haired guy. So, I have lots of help with whatever it is I’m trying to make that day.
