Today on our blog we are featuring two ever so adorable pups; Nala & Olaf.  Let’s get to know these two doggies;

*What is your name?
Ashley Costabile

*Where are you from?
Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin

6*What is your pet(s):
NALA
American Staffordshire Terrier
she’s estimated to be about 3 ½- 4 years old.

OLAF
Bully Mix
He just turned 1 on April 16th.

*What are some interesting facts about your pet(s)?

Nala is incredibly sweet. When my mother first met her she was greeted at my front door by Nala holding a box of Girl Scout cookies in her mouth and trying to shake my mother’s hand. She never had any training but went straight for her CGC certification and passed the first time around. She loves to lay around and has to sleep with someone at night. Olaf is probably one of the goofiest dogs I’ve ever met. He looks like he is sporting the biggest smile and he swears he has to make out with every single person he meets. He brings out a more fun side of Nala and they are great together.

8*What is your pet (s) favorite treat?
Nala and Olaf love bacon. Olaf actually was pretty occupied in training classes unless I snuck some bacon bits in for him. Nala definitely loves apples.

*What is your pet(s) favorite trick?
Nala’s best trick would have to be, shaking your hand. She feels the need to always shake. Olaf can sit pretty, high five with his right paw and shake with his left. We are still working on some manners and etiquette for him.

*Where is your pet(s) favorite place to go?
Papa and Granny’s house by far! All I have to do is mention, “Elsa” (Olaf’s sister) and they run into my car, sit in the front seat, and sport the biggest smiles. Our ice cream parlor is a very close second. They get their own small vanillas in a cup.

*Perspective on Adopting a Rescue?
I’ve always owned rescued dogs with the exception of Olaf. I had a lot of guilt for not rescuing again but everything happens for a reason. In my opinion, rescuing is the greatest gift you can give to a dog and yourself.

5*What’s your favorite thing to do with your pet(s)?
It varies between Nala and Olaf. Nala is laid back and enjoys walks and cuddles on the couch. Olaf on the other hand is very active. We run around the back yard and he kicks the ball around like he’s playing soccer.

*What is your favorite quote?
“Saving one dog will not change the world, but surely for that one dog, the world will change forever.”

*Favorite website to get pet information from?
Education not Euthanization . I also follow many face book pages.

*Do your pets (s) love to go for car rides?
Yes! They actually cry at the door if they can’t go. But for the most part they go everywhere I do!

4*What’s your favorite animal product?
I swear by, Hurley dog toys. They are literally the only toys my dogs can’t destroy. That along with their, Jolly Ball. I’ve had their ball for over a year and it’s still as good as gold!

*Why do you think volunteering at an animal rescue/shelter is important?
I think more people need to understand the extent of the amount of homeless animals. It’s one thing to see them on social media and another to actually witness it.

*Anything extra you would like to add?
I wish people would judge a dog individually instead of by their breed.
