petproductreviewbanner
As you all know Rolo is on a journey to find health and wellness which started back in September. As Rolo was getting frozen veggies from the freezer, we opted to start using Dr.Harvey’s Veg-to-bowl as a healthier option.  This is the perfect product for Rolo and we are excited to see his results at his next weigh in, not to mention it can be packed with us when we go to the camper, or on a trip! No more mushy, melted, soggy veggies. There are a few different ways you can use Veg-to-Bowl, like you will see below we have topped it onto Rolo’s dog food but you can also make your own dog food with it! Just add the Veg-to-Bowl, a protein(a meat) and an oil, VOILA healthy dog food!

Comments:
I’m sure you all have seen me mention how much I love see-through packaging or even peek-a-boo hole. For the Veg-to-Bowl packaging it gives you a full on 360° view of the product! The thing that stood out a lot about the package to me was the colorful logo, Veg-to-Bowl. Looks just like Rolo’s bowl once it was filled up!

Smell (if applicable)

Comments:
As soon as I added hot water to the veggies, my kitchen instantly smelled like “vegetable soup”. I added it as well as another product we are testing from Dr.Harvey’s Canine Line called “Ortho-flex”(you will see a review for that one coming up in the next month or so) to his 1.5 cups of dog food. I mixed it all up and put it on the floor for him. He loved it! Gobbled that food right up! I have a time-lapse video of Rolo eating that I will upload to our Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/rescuemomblog)

Comments:
If Rolo could talk he would describe the Veg-to-Bowl as delicious and flavorful! As Rolo’s mom, I do know how to read his every flinch, grin, tail wag, movement and sound! He was dedicated to finishing this bowl of food and he was not leaving one little piece left in there! The second time I made it for him I opted to add just a  smidge more water than I did last time as the veggies turn the water added to it into a broth as well. So with that extra water he was able to have a bowl that was a little more wetter almost like thick soup!

Creativity of Product

Comments:
This product is amazing on many levels. For instance this is perfect for someone who travels(no mess), just pack up the bag and get water at your destination. For someone wanting their pet to lose a few pounds (like Rolo) this is easy, highly nutritious and lower calorie!  Dr.Harvey’s also has outsmart me! As I opened up the package, I was wondering to myself do I have some sort of scoop in my cupboard. I found a spoon. BUT after a shake of the bag i came to learn that this came with a scoop! So convenient!

 The Testing Process:

This was our process of making the Veg-to-Bowl. As I would be adding it to Rolo’s dog food I opted for a smaller portion. There are instructions for puppies, dogs and older dogs in a little booklet that comes inside the bag for reference.I added 2 cups to a bowl, than heated up water in our water heater, added 2 cups of water and let it sit. Once it sat for 8 minutes I gave it a stir and added it to Rolo’s food.
Voila! Breakfast/Dinner is served!

Final Thoughts:
I am so happy with this product and I know Rolo’s belly and taste buds are too! If you want to learn more about the Veg-to-Bowl please visit Dr.Harvey’s site: http://www.drharveys.com/products/show/13-veg-to-bowl
