The air has become crisp, a sweater is a must have accessory as the sun hides behind the clouds, leaves are morphing into beautiful yellow, orange and brown hues before they descend to the ground. With my own personal season calendar, I believe that September first marks “Fall” and with that being said I wanted to get into some fall spirit and do some baking and get crafty and also get my house into the fall spirit with some decor. After all, where I live the fall season really doesn’t last that long, so I want to take full advantage of these fall inspired posts! Up first, let’s do some spoiling with this super simple Pumpkin Peanut Butter Treat Recipe!
Some Benefits of Pumpkin;
♦ Low in Fat & High in Fiber
♦ Fiber is great for dogs with digestive issues like diarrhea or constipation
♦ Great for Weight Management (ask Rolo)
♦ Packed with Beta-Carotene & Antioxidants (good for immune systems)
♦ Rolo says it tastes good!
2 & 1/2 Cups of Whole Wheat Flour ♥ 2 Eggs ♥ 3/4 Cup Canned 100% Pumpkin Puree (not pumpkin pie filling) ♥ 2 Tablespoons of Peanut Butter (check label to make sure yours doesn’t contain xylitol) ♥ 1/2 teaspoon salt ♥ 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
♦ Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees
♦ Mix together all of the ingredients, add water if needed
♦ Roll out the dough so it is about 1/2 inch thick
♦ Cut out cookies with desired cookie cutter
♦ Place on greased baking sheet
♦ Bake until light brown on the bottom and hard (approx 16-20 minutes)
♦ Let Cool & Serve to your pup!
