Living in Northern Canada, you can bet your bottom dollar that it gets cold up here. With all the cold weather up here comes all of the side effects on our furry family members skin as well as ours! To be honest, I didn’t know much about kelp or it’s benefits, just basically that it is found in the sea. I was excited to learn about it and test it out! Kelp Dogs makes affordable products (ranging from $12-$29) for not only pets but they also carry a kelp lip balm for us humans! Let’s start this product review!
First off I want to talk about the product design. I love that the balm is compact. It fits in my purse or Rolo’s travel bag without taking up hardly any space. We do a lot of road trips and having to pack big bottle after big bottle takes up a lot of space! Especially with two children, a husband and a high maintenance dog. hey! I can also use it too! As long as Rolo is willing to share! I also love that the jar is clear so you can see the product through it without having to open the jar.
Kelp is high in minerals and contains vitamins A, B, E, D and K.
Kelp is a great source of iodine which helps promote thyroid function.
I am all about using natural products especially on Rolo. Kelp Dog Balm is great for eczema, dry snout, abrasions, scars or tissue regeneration, paw protection, and rashes. Made of a special blend of essential oils for a great smell and naturally healing elements. I prefer to use a qtip while applying to Rolo’s feet. The Kelp Dog Balm goes on easy and doesn’t leave a greasy mess. It leaves Rolo’s feet moisturized and beautiful but most of all happy! Look at the before photo to the left and the after photo to the right. You can get yourself a jar or Kelp Dog Balm here –> Shop Now
I myself got to conduct a little review of my own! Sometimes Rolo gets to share the spotlight, but not very often! I am a lover of lip products! I don’t often wear very much makeup but you can always find me wearing some type of lip “treatment” whether that’s a gloss, lipstick, matte lip pen, tinted lip balm or just normal lip balm, there is always something there! I get chapped lips a lot. It can be windy, wet and cold up in Canada what can I say! You can see my before “naked” lips that are cracked and dry(to the left). Just after a few swipes of Kelp Dog Human Lip Balm they were luscious, juicy lips(to the right)! It also contains SPF to help protect those kissers from the sun, even if it is a cloudy day. The balm has been added to my diaper bag necessities! You can get yourself a 3 pack of Kelp Dog Lip Balm here –> Shop Now

In the winter the house gets dry from having the heater on all the time. I notice that the dogs’ paws often get dried out from this. I’d love to give this a try and I love that it’s all natural :)
i would love this for my 3 gals. their paws get dry. my middle child gets dry paws and sometimes they crack and i have to wrap her paws b/c they hurt.
My 3 get dry noses and pads during the winter. This sounds awesome!
Kelp products are so amazing!! I’m in love with the kelp powder supplement from Kelp Dog AND their lip balm, too!! Very nice review, particularly your photo story line!
The kids complain that our dogs have scratchy paws, so this would really help their dry pads.
this looks like it would great for our dog :)
I’d never heard of this product before but I’d love to use it with my dog this winter.
