Let’s start this product review!

First lets talk about the packaging. Well as you can see from the photo above, you can reach out and touch the product without opening any packaging. Minimal packaging means, cutting down on waste! Plus the package is made from cardstock like paper which can be recycled. Unsure of what size Zen Clipper you need for your pet? There is a nail sizing chart at the bottom of the package. Don’t have your pet with you in the store? You can print off your own chart (Click Here) or request one to be sent to your home  (Click Here) to ensure you purchase the proper size. As mentioned on their website; “As always, if you order a Zen Clipper from us and the size you receive isn’t correct (it doesn’t cut enough of the nail because it’s too small or it cuts too close to the quick because it’s too large), we will happily exchange it for you.”zenclipper1Now onto discussing the product & design. One thing Rolo despises about getting his nails clipped is that our usual nail clippers make a well scary sound when the nail is being cut and because his nail is so thick I find the nail turning as it is getting clipped. Well with the Zen Clipper it only allows a predetermined amount in at a time. With having a dark nailed dog and not being able to see the quick, doing a small bit at a time is just perfect. I like that they to me, have a design like a good pair of hair cutting scissors with the little lips that stick off the back. Great for gripping and comfortable.
zenclipperNot only can you use the Zen Clippers on big dogs like Rolo but also various sizes of dogs and even birds, cats, reptiles and small animals. It’s compact and easy to clean, as I always like to give something a little wipe down after to sterilize it. Although it is a little hard to see in this boomerang I made below. When I was clipping Rolo’s toes, you can see a small piece of his nail come off, just the tip. I’m pretty happy that I didn’t have to hold Rolo’s leg! Which is a pretty big goal if you ask me! Normally the sound of other nail clippers scare him. Almost like a crunching sound.

Overall I am really happy with  this product. Its fast, compact, easy to use and because I didn’t have to use any treats to coax Rolo into sitting still it really took the anxiety out of clipping nails also.  Dog Mom Kimberley & Rolo Approved!
